We have been soooo busy the last few months:
Playing at fairs,
practicing...
and school started. So, we are lacking in pictures of our activities right now. We hope to start recording some songs for an upcoming CD this Christmas break...
Katie's turtle did NOT win the turtle race at our county fair...and he was such a promising turtle too...We've all been practicing our ultimate frisbee skills...so, next year when we go to the Gospel Grass festival at Calhan, we hope to be assets to our teams!!!!
Courtney bought a guitar this summer, it was
the first one she bought on her own... a Blueridge,
all solid wood. It's nice, but needs work...and she still can't
wait for her name to come up on the
list for a guitar made by Mario Proulx!
Jordan has been teaching a friend of hers how to play the bass.
We jam on friday nights with a group of Christian Country pickers...
there are a decided lack of Bluegrass pickers around here...
and a family started coming and one night their daughter showed up with a 1/2 size bass!
It was SMALL! (well, probably still bigger than a cello-but just barely!)
Hillary has got a job now, and she's still painting in her spare time. She's also getting much more noisy on the banjo--which means shes learnin' to play awful fancy like!-- it makes our music that much more interesting, we think!
meanwhile... a great announcement kind of hot off of the press:
KATIE HAS BEGUN TO PERFORM WITH THE BAND!!
Of course, it takes a fiddle player longer to be able to perform, because its harder to get just so,
but she's started now!!
Well, there is probably much more news to relate, but it evades me right now!
Blessings!
